When I was in elementary school, my teachers often told me that I spent too much time daydreaming, as if it was something I needed to change.
Looking back, I've realised they were right about one thing. I've always been a dreamer.
As I got older, I learned that dreams alone aren't enough. What moves you forward are the goals you set and the work you're willing to put in every day.
I haven't always chosen the obvious path, and there have been moments when I felt completely lost. But looking back, those are often the moments that make the most sense. They introduced me to incredible people, unexpected opportunities and experiences that have shaped who I am today.
Chapter 01
It started
with a
dream.
When I was 14, I had one goal: to study and play basketball in the United States. I had no idea how I was going to get there, but I knew it was what I wanted.
That dream gave me direction. Every day was spent training, improving and preparing for an opportunity I hoped would come.
At first, all I had was determination. Looking back, that determination opened doors I never imagined. Not only did I get the opportunity to move to the United States, I was fortunate enough to choose between different schools.
More than anything, that experience taught me that ambitious goals have a way of creating opportunities long before you realise they're within reach.
Chapter 02
Akribian.
Remember what I said about not always taking the obvious path?
Music unexpectedly led me into education. I was given the opportunity to work as a music teacher. I knew very little about teaching, but I knew how to play piano, so I decided to give it a chance.
What was supposed to be one year turned into several. I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed working with children, but eventually I felt it was time for a new challenge. I had studied management and wanted to move closer to business, even though I had no clear idea what the next step would be.
And remember the people you meet along the way? Around that time, I started working closely with Acke Salem, a serial entrepreneur who gave me the opportunity to show what I could do.
That eventually led me to Akribian, where I took over as CEO.

Within months, I went from teacher to CEO. It was a steep learning curve, and suddenly I found myself working with investors, securing funding, building products and helping shape an early-stage company.

Selected as one of four founders for the Reach for Change incubator after a highly competitive process, which connected me with experienced founders, mentors and investors.

Connect Sverige
Selected into Connect Sverige after progressing through a multi-stage selection and pitching process, earning the opportunity to present Akribian to Connect Sverige's investor network and experienced entrepreneurs.

Tele2 Change Leader
Selected as a Tele2 Change Leader, a collaboration that made Count on Me available to more than 100,000 Tele2 customers while learning from leaders and mentors within Tele2.

Funding secured
Together with the team, I secured funding that today helps us build the next generation of Akribian's teacher dashboard and continue developing better learning experiences for teachers and children.
Sharing the vision
Throughout the journey I've had the opportunity to present Akribian to investors, founders and leaders from organisations including UNICEF, Tele2, Kinnevik, Google and the Gates Foundation.

Chapter 03
Edument.
Alongside Akribian, I joined Edument as COO.
Working in software development has introduced me to a new world of technology, consulting and business. I enjoy working with customers, colleagues and partners, solving challenges together and learning from people with deep technical expertise.
My journey at Edument is still unfolding, and that's what excites me most. Every project, every customer and every conversation is an opportunity to learn something new.

RIDD.
I release music under the name RIDD. The project has reached more than three million streams on Spotify, with listeners around the world.

Chapter 05
Sports.
Everything started with basketball.
I began playing when I was young, and for many years it shaped most of my days. Practice in the morning, school in between, practice again in the evening.
It taught me discipline long before I understood what discipline meant. Showing up when you don't feel like it. Doing the small, repetitive work that no one sees.
It taught me teamwork. A team only works when people trust each other and accept different roles, and that lesson has followed me into every company I've worked in since.
And it taught me resilience. Losing, being injured, starting over. Learning that progress is rarely a straight line.
When I was 20, I had the opportunity to train with the Bosnian national basketball team. It was a humbling experience, and one I still think about.
I don't play at that level anymore, but the way I approach work comes from those years. Everything after this chapter was built on it.
